It is believed a handgun was used and police have recovered shells from the scene. The gunman struck in the recreation area between Red Lane and Ordnance Road, Foleshill, at about 9pm on Monday. Police said today that the man desperately called a friend on his mobile phone as he hid after the attack. He was in a stable condition in hospital today. He underwent surgery yesterday as doctors searched for bullets that may have become lodged. The bullets hit the 24-year-old victim in the body, but missed his vital organs. A man miraculously survived after being shot five times as he walked through a Coventry park, police revealed today. ![]()
